Mr. Abdul Wakeel (Executive Director)
With academic qualifications in engineering and professional experience in banking and journalism Mr. Wakeel has special interest in areas of appropriate technology and rural banking for poverty alleviation and sustainable development. His work covers broad range of projects in evaluation, participatory rural development, environment, and emergency relief and rehabilitation. Mr. Wakeel has managed big budget projects (above 200 million) with large teams (above 400 staff) over the last couple of years.
Mr. Mohammad Asif Kasi (Program Manager)
Mr. Kasi with academic qualification in Engineering has over 15 years of working experience in development sector, has worked with UN, International and National organizations and has successfully implemented projects in both emergency and long term development perspective on Education, Governance, Water and sanitation, Women & child Rights, Reproductive health and participatory Information System and EMIS in Balochistan, NWFP and AJK. He is well versed in participatory and right based approaches to development.
Engr. Mr. Welayat Said (Manager Technical
Civil Engineer Welayat Said has been associated with SSD for the past 8 years in the capacity of Technical Consultant. He has rich experience in designing civil works, BoQs preparation/Specification, PC-1s preparation, and on-site works implementation. He brings with him over two decades of government and international construction companies’ experience.
Mr. Ayat Ullah (Programme Officer)
Ayat Ullah has done MBA/MS, BBA (Hons) with specilization in Human Resource Management and research study on Gender Mainstreaming. He has also done Master’s in Sociology and has been in the development sector for the past six years. A very specialized resource in Project Management, Monitoring & Evlauation, participatory development covering WATSAN, Child Protection, DRR, Emergency Response, Education & Livelihood sectors. Well-versed in PRA Tools, EGRA/EGMA, BCC, Community Score Card, FGDs, Result based Monitoring, KAP Surveys, Child-to-Child Approach, Mr. Ayatullah has worked in various capacities with a number of national and international agencies.
Mr. Raees Ahmad
Mr. Raees holds a Diploma of Associate Engineer
(Civil) and has over 20 years extensive experience in infrastructure and civil
work both abroad and in Pakistan.
Mr. Haris Noman
Mr. Haris is a Commerce Graduate with over 8
years of experience with different national development agencies as
Administration & Finance Officer. He is well versed in putting in place
financial system, administrative matters inclusive HR, logistics, inter-offices
coordination. He has been working SSD for the past 6 years as Manager
Mr. Muhammad Asad
Mr. Muhammad Asad carries a Master’s degree in Anthropology with over 10 years of experience in the area of participatory development. He coordinates SSD’s outreach and community mobilization activities and specializes in all areas of community development work including but not limited to PRAs, CBOs formation and capacity building (record keeping, book keeping, action planning and monitoring, savings etc) health & hygiene education, KAP surveys, CtC Trainings, baseline socio economic surveys, reporting and documentation. Currently he is managing WASH projects in the IDPs camps of Jalozai, Larama and Kacha Garhi with the assistance of 12 technical and 60 hygiene promotion staff in Peshawar.
Mr. Hameedullah Safi
Hameed is Master’s in Sociology and has been in
the development sector for the past eight years. A very specialized resource in
participatory development covering Watsan, Child Protection, Education &
Livelihood sectors. Well-versed in PRA Tools, BCC, KAP Surveys, Child-to-Child
Approach, Mr. Hameed has been associated with SSD for the past 6 years and has
been successfully managing emergency as well as regular projects in different
parts of KPK.
Mr. Bilal Ahmad
Bilal is Master’s in Pakistan Studies and has
over 10 years experience in development sector. He is well versed in
Development Sector and has run successfully WASH, Education and Child
Protection projects. Mr. Bilal is currently managing SSD’s Muzaffarabad office
and our WAQIPH projects in AJK & NWFP.
Mr. Zia carries a Master’s degree in International
Relations with over 5 years of experience in the area of participatory
development. He coordinates SSD’s Malakand/Dir/Swat Region and community
mobilization activities there and specializes in all areas of community
development work including but not limited to PRAs, CBOs formation and capacity
building (record keeping, book keeping, action planning and monitoring, savings
etc) health & hygiene education, KAP surveys, CtC Trainings, baseline socio
economic surveys, reporting and documentation. Currently he has been managing
UNDP and Unicef CBI and WASH Projects in Lower Dir and Swat.
Miss Sarwat Ara
Miss Sarwat holds Master’s Degree in English
Literature and has extensive development sector experience spanning over 10
years. She is well versed in proposal development; imparting trainings on PRA
Tools & BCC; developing NEF modules; designing needs surveys. She has been
associated with SSD in the capacity of Program Coordinator at the Head Office.
Miss Saadia Khan
Miss Saadia has Master’s degree in Economics and
has over 6 years working experience in community development. She is well
versed in community development and specialized in Monitoring & Evaluation
and Documentation. At present she has been looking after SSD’s M&E Section.
Miss Shamim Azam
Miss Shamim has Master’s degree in Social Works
and has over 5 years working experience in community development. She is well
versed in CtC, KAP, FRESH & FLAHEE approaches in imparting hygiene
Miss Sidra Khalid
Miss Sidra has Master’s degree in Development
Sciences and has over 2 years working experience in HR. Miss Sidra looks after
SSD’s HR Section.
Burhan Khan (Accounts Officer)
Mr. Burhan possesses a graduate degree in Commerce and is well
versed in all types of accounts and record keeping as per standard procedures.
Miss Qurrat-ul-Ain Shafiq
Miss Qurratulain is a graduate and has over 10 years experience in
HR, Admin and Logistics.
Well-known Shahida is one of the few people
well-versed in CtC Approach & Master Trainer in NWFP who has
single-handedly managed CtC & PRA TOT workshops in every nook & corner
of NWFP & Muzaffarabad and trained thousands of teachers & trainers.
She brings with her over 10 years training experience.
Ms. Rukhsana is a law graduate with special
interest and skills in the area of Convention on Rights of Children (CRC). She
also provides expert training in project planning, resource planning and assist
management in program documentation and reviews.
Mr. Rizwan holds a graduation
degree in Civil Engineering and is full-time available as In charge technical
for all the water and sanitation hardware activities and technical
trouble-shooting. He leads a team of 12 site engineers.
Mr. Muhammad Adil
Adil has done his M.Sc. in Environmental Sciences and is an experienced developed sector professional. He is a good resource on water quality management and solid waste management. He has worked with Department of Environment of NWFP and is a specialized resource in water quality testing.
